Sometimes it freaks me out how much like their characters they are. Emma’s very concerned, Dan saves the day, Rupert laughs.

So now we have a video of the Haylor kiss, and as much as I want to ignore the whole shenanigan, I’ve been getting quite a few asks about it, so I’ll throw in my quick two cents

Beginning of video: countdown is already starting. T is the one holding onto H, who looks distracted.

0:13 - he turns around and greets/talks to someone/pecks them on the cheek while she keeps a deadly grasp on him

0:20 - way to look interested, Styles

0:26 - you can almost hear his mental commentary: “three, two, one, oh there’s my cue, here we go sigh fuck my life”

0:36 - afterwards they hug and he looks sort of expressionless

she clings to him like an octopus for the next 10-20 seconds

1:01 - they do some weird kissing thing that is very weird and I don’t know what’s going on like wtf. and meanwhile people are screaming their names and it’s so obviously for show it’s painful

1:07 more hugging. he rubs her back in a reassuring way, almost. 

Worth noting that at no point whatsoever does Harry smile. Ever. And this is the boy who smiles pretty much every time he catches sight of his boyfriend.

Also, you’d think kissing your beloved at the NYE countdown is something to be happy about. Hmmm.

Okay now that I’ve wasted fifteen minutes of my life analyzing a stupid video I’m going to go make a cup of hot cocoa, take a shower, and curl up in my bed to catch up on Downton Abbey.
